In the evening, collective prayers using archival audio recordings of the late ayatollah's voice are planned at all holy sites across the country.

The mourning activities, which include Quran recitations and prayers for the "victory of the resistance front," are taking place against the backdrop of an ongoing large-scale military conflict. Following the events of February 28, the region has faced a series of mutual strikes between Iran and the forces of the US and Israeli regimes.

Concurrently, international media are discussing the condition of the deceased leader's successor. Earlier reports suggested that Iran's new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, may be in an unconscious state.
