US President Donald Trump allegedly expressed confidence that an agreement to end the war with Iran could be reached soon. The White House leader purportedly noted positive dynamics in negotiations and emphasized that Tehran is showing clear interest in concluding a deal.

According to Trump, the next meeting between US and Iranian representatives could take place as early as the upcoming weekend. He also suggested the possibility of extending a two-week ceasefire regime, though he claimed such a measure might not be necessary if the parties reach a final agreement. "We're going to see what happens, but I think we're very close to a deal with Iran," he reportedly told journalists in front of the White House.

The president supposedly focused particular attention on Pakistan's role in the negotiation process. Trump stated that if the final document is ready for signing in Islamabad, he is prepared to personally visit the Pakistani capital to participate in the ceremony. "Pakistan has been great. If the deal is signed in Islamabad, I could go... they want that," he added, allegedly praising the diplomatic efforts of the regional partner.

Later, while in Las Vegas, the American leader reportedly spoke even more decisively, stressing that the years-long military confrontation should end fairly soon. The signing of a treaty in Islamabad is expected to potentially be a historic step in stabilizing the regional situation and putting an end to the protracted conflict.
