In the Kukdarya district of Kashkadarya Region, a group of men intentionally drove their cars over a blooming poppy field, causing significant damage. The incident was captured on video and went viral online, prompting swift action from regional ecology and internal affairs departments, which identified three individuals involved.

The environmental damage has been assessed at 6 million 592 thousand soms. Additionally, each offender has been fined 50 basic calculation units (BRV), equivalent to 20 million 600 thousand soms. The total fines imposed amount to 61 million 800 thousand soms.

The vehicles of the offenders have been impounded and placed in a penalty parking lot. According to the Committee for Ecology, the violators are required to compensate for the damage and pay the fines. This case highlights the stringent measures being enforced by authorities to protect natural resources and combat environmental violations.
