On May 6, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kyiv held a meeting with leading Ukrainian entrepreneurs, according to the Dunyo news agency.

The event was attended by heads and top managers of over 60 enterprises included in the list of the 100 largest companies in Ukraine according to Forbes magazine, including representatives of MEGOGO (online cinema), MTI Group (retail, IT and logistics), UNIT.City (innovation park), MXP (food producer), Uklon (taxi aggregator), Biosfera (household and hygiene products manufacturer), Darnitsa (pharmaceutical company), and Idea Bank.

Uzbek Ambassador Alisher Kurmanov informed participants about the conditions created for foreign investors in the country, Uzbekistan's investment attractiveness, and its transport and logistics capabilities.

"Ukrainian entrepreneurs assessed Uzbekistan as an attractive and promising market in Central Asia, highly appreciating the country's stable economic growth and open investment policy," the agency reported.

Representatives of MEGOGO, Yuriya-Pharm (pharmaceutical company), Uklon, and Sigma Software (IT company), already operating in the Uzbek market, expressed interest in expanding their businesses and increasing investment volumes.

Denis Golubchikov, Director of Sona Pharma (pharmaceutical company), announced that starting January 2027, the company intends to introduce a portfolio of innovative ophthalmology products to the medical market.

Uklon CEO Sergey Grishkov stated that the company has invested over $10 million solely in developing its business in Tashkent. In his opinion, population growth, foreign investment inflows, and developed fintech infrastructure make Uzbekistan one of the most promising destinations for long-term strategic development.

Gurgen Karapetyan, Export Director of Darnitsa, emphasized that Uzbekistan is one of the key strategic markets. According to him, despite complex and strict regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical sector, the company is currently registering 27 types of products in Uzbekistan.

At the end of the meeting, Ukrainian entrepreneurs were invited to the 5th Tashkent International Investment Forum, scheduled for June 16–18.

Meeting participants put forward a number of proposals aimed at bringing economic cooperation between the two countries to a "qualitatively new level," the report said.

In turn, Uzbek diplomats expressed readiness to organize meetings with each entrepreneur, support their practical projects, and assist in implementing investment initiatives.
