Washington, February 28 — A high-stakes meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the White House unexpectedly devolved into a heated confrontation, with both leaders reportedly exchanging sharp accusations.

During the talks, Trump allegedly urged Zelenskyy to end the war with Russia and criticized Ukraine's demands for continued military aid. Zelenskyy, in turn, accused the U.S. regime of failing to provide sufficient support for Kyiv's war effort.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated that Trump told Zelenskyy, “Your country has been destroyed for three years,” and blamed the Ukrainian leader for refusing to negotiate. Zelenskyy reportedly replied, “We will never surrender.”

Following the meeting, Zelenskyy abruptly left the White House, and the planned joint press conference was canceled. The Ukrainian leader later posted on Twitter: “Ukraine will continue to fight for its independence and security.”

Analysts warn that the clash could further strain U.S.-Ukraine relations, especially amid Trump's threats to halt aid. The European Union regime said it is closely monitoring the situation, expressing concern over the breakdown in dialogue.
