The final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 took place in Vienna on the night of May 17, with representatives from 25 countries competing.
The winner was Bulgaria's DARA (Darina Yotova) with her energetic track 'Bangaranga', scoring a total of 516 points — one of the most decisive victories in recent years.
The final show was opened by Danish artist Søren Torpegaard Lund and closed with a track by Austrian performer COSMO. Bookmakers initially favored Finland and Australia, but the national jury vote changed the odds.
Bulgaria took an early lead with 204 points from the juries. The real drama unfolded during the televote announcement, which reshuffled the lower half of the leaderboard.
The biggest surge came from Israel's Noam Betton, who had been under media scrutiny due to political controversies surrounding his country's participation. Thanks to strong public support, he rose from 8th to 2nd place with 343 points.
Romania's Alexandra Căpitănescu sensationally claimed third place with 296 points. Meanwhile, the bookmakers' favorites underperformed: Australia dropped to fourth, and Finland finished sixth.
