Two US fighter jets collided in mid-air during the second day of the Gunfighter Skies airshow at Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho.

According to Times Now News, a Super Hornet and a Growler carrier-based aircraft were involved. Footage shows one jet performing a maneuver and flying over the other, making contact with the lower part of its fuselage.

The pilots then ejected. Parachutes were seen opening in the sky, while the aircraft crashed and exploded.

The base confirmed the incident, closed access to the area, and launched an investigation. Emergency services are working at the crash site.

In March, a military transport plane crash occurred in Colombia. A Hercules C-130 crashed during takeoff, killing dozens, including army, air force personnel, and national police officers.
