The Thai government has approved changes to visa-free entry rules and visa-on-arrival procedures, according to Dunyo news agency.

Under the new rules, effective July 15, 2026, Thailand will cancel the current 60-day visa-free regime for citizens of 93 countries, including Uzbekistan.

The decision will come into force 15 days after its official publication in the Royal Gazette, which is expected next week.

Travelers will be required to submit an electronic application via the thaievisa.go.th portal to obtain entry permission.
