Visitors are lining up at Mirpur National Zoo in Dhaka, Bangladesh, to see a 700-kilogram albino buffalo nicknamed "Donald Trump" due to its striking resemblance to the US president's signature hairstyle.

The buffalo was originally destined to be sacrificed for Eid al-Adha, but was spared at the last minute following government intervention. Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed ordered the buffalo to be saved and a local buyer refunded.

A ministry official said, "At the last moment, the decision was taken to spare the buffalo from sacrifice due to security concerns and the unusual level of public interest."

The buffalo was raised on a farm in Narayanganj, outside Dhaka, and has attracted a steady stream of curious visitors since moving to the zoo. "I came to the zoo just to see Donald Trump!" exclaimed 10-year-old Saiful Islam, as quoted by The Daily Star.

According to reports, the farmer's brother named the buffalo after Trump because of its unusual hair. Authorities placed a sign on the fence identifying the animal as "White Buffalo (Donald Trump) Albino Buffalo."
