Ukraine continued its campaign of strikes deep inside Russian territory on Saturday, targeting a facility producing advanced weapons in Volgograd and an oil pumping station that supplies fuel to Moscow, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Zelenskyy wrote on X that Ukrainian-made FP-5 Flamingo missiles hit the Titan-Barrikady plant in Volgograd, causing a fire. He described the facility as a major industrial complex producing artillery systems and components for missile launch systems, including for the Iskander-M system.
Russia confirmed the attack, with regional Governor Andrei Bocharov reporting at least 10 wounded. The Ukrainian General Staff said the plant manufactures self-propelled launchers and transport-loading vehicles for the Iskander-M.
In a separate strike, Ukraine's SBU security service said drones hit a technical building at a Transneft oil pumping station in Vtorovo, Vladimir region, east of Moscow. This is the second successful attack on the station in a month.
Russia retaliated with strikes on at least three Ukrainian regions overnight, killing two people and wounding over 20. In Dnipropetrovsk region, one person died and two were injured; in Sumy, a 66-year-old man was killed; and in Zaporizhzhia, nine people including two children were wounded.
