Pop superstar Taylor Swift (36) and American football player Travis Kelce (36) are reportedly set to hold their wedding at Madison Square Garden (MSG) in New York on Friday, July 4, according to city permits and media reports. The couple has not publicly confirmed the plans.

Page Six reported that the pair have already legally married in a small ceremony with close friends and family, though details on the date and location remain undisclosed.

The event is expected to host around 1,000 guests, who are reportedly banned from bringing phones and required to sign non-disclosure agreements. Expected attendees include model Gigi Hadid, actors Hugh Grant, Bradley Cooper, Dakota Johnson, and pop figures Benson Boone and Camila Cabello.

New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani, when asked about the potential wedding, said: "If you happen to be getting married at MSG, you will be staying inside and staying cool. I think it's a good example to set for the city at large."

The celebration coincides with the Fourth of July holiday weekend. New York is also hosting Independence Day events, preparations for the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, and a FIFA World Cup match. A heat wave is affecting the city.

Swift and Kelce announced their engagement in August. Fans have likened the wedding to a "royal wedding." New Yorker Alyssa Heinen said: "She is the biggest thing in America — she is our royalty, our queen, she is everything."
