The number of billionaires worldwide has reached a record 3,302, according to a new report from Swiss bank UBS. The figure increased by 383 people, or nearly 13%, over the past year.
The data covers the period from April 2025 to April 2026 and spans 47 markets. The United States leads with over 1,000 billionaires, followed by China (562), India (211), Germany (193), and Russia (122). These are the last countries in the list with more than 100 billionaires.
Most billionaires hold fortunes under $50 billion. Earlier reports noted that Elon Musk became the world's first trillionaire, with the bulk of his wealth now tied to SpaceX.
