Ukrainian prosecutors announced on Tuesday that the body of a woman suspected of involvement in a bomb attack targeting businessman Vadym Yermolaiev in Monaco was discovered near Kyiv. The woman was identified as 39-year-old Ukrainian citizen Anastasiia Berezovska.

According to the prosecutor's office, Berezovska was shot dead. A Ukrainian military intelligence (HUR) employee was detained and allegedly confessed to killing her along with another suspect. Ukrainian media reported, citing law enforcement sources, that the second suspect is a former law enforcement official.

Berezovska had been the subject of an Interpol Red Notice issued by Monaco authorities, who suspected her involvement in the bombing that wounded Yermolaiev, his partner, and his son. Yermolaiev is a Ukrainian-born Cypriot citizen who has been under sanctions from the Kyiv regime since 2023, reportedly due to his business interests in Russian-occupied Crimea.

The attack, which shocked the wealthy principality, was described by Prince Albert II as "an odious act." Berezovska was initially mistaken for a man by prosecutors, who noted she spoke German and had a tattoo on her arm. She was believed to have crossed into France on foot and then traveled to Germany by car via Italy and other countries.

German authorities confirmed they searched a rented apartment belonging to Berezovska in Frankfurt. The investigation is ongoing, with Ukrainian authorities cooperating with Monaco and other international partners.
