The White House has confirmed that President Donald Trump will not intervene to stop the extradition of Andrew and Tristan Tate to the United Kingdom, where they face dozens of sex crime charges. Press secretary Karoline Leavitt gave a one-word answer when asked if the administration would block the extradition: “No.”

The Tate brothers, online influencers known for their misogynistic content, were arrested in Miami in March 2025 after UK prosecutors announced new charges including rape, sex trafficking, and assault. The brothers have been vocal supporters of Trump and have reportedly sought ties with his sons, leading to speculation that the president might help them.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio also dismissed the possibility of government intervention. “There’s no role for us to play at this moment or maybe ever in that regard,” he told reporters in the Philippines.

UK prosecutors allege the crimes occurred between 2010 and 2017. Andrew Tate faces seven counts of rape, three counts of arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation, three counts of assault, and 19 charges related to indecent images of children and extreme pornography. Tristan Tate is charged with one count of sexual assault, two counts of rape, and three counts of arranging or facilitating sex trafficking.

Their lawyer, Joseph McBride, has called the charges “politically motivated.” The brothers also face allegations of trafficking, sexual abuse of minors, and money laundering in Romania. They relocated to the US in 2025 as those allegations mounted. In March 2025, the state of Florida launched a criminal investigation into the brothers, though its status remains unclear.
