Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in the United States for talks with President Donald Trump, emphasizing that Kyiv's top priority is strengthening anti-ballistic defense and strategic cooperation with America.

In a post on X, Zelenskyy stated: 'Our number-one priority is anti-ballistic defense and strategic cooperation with America. Peace needs to be brought closer.'

The two leaders are scheduled to meet at the White House before attending a tribute to Senator Lindsey Graham, a staunch Ukraine supporter who passed away earlier this month.

Relations between Trump and Zelenskyy have improved in recent weeks. Since returning to office in January, the US regime has largely halted direct arms shipments to Ukraine, instead allowing European allies to purchase American weapons and supply them to Kyiv.

However, Washington remains a key ally, providing intelligence and access to the Starlink satellite network. Trump reportedly pledged during a meeting in Turkey to help Ukraine produce Patriot air defense systems.

The meeting comes over four years into Russia's full-scale invasion, with diplomatic efforts stalled and both sides escalating long-range strikes. Russia claimed over 390 Ukrainian drones targeted the Moscow region, while Ukrainian forces allegedly struck vessels in the Black Sea.
