A 36-year-old citizen of Uzbekistan, Oybek Niyozov, died while working in the Inegol district of Bursa province, Turkey. The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul confirmed the incident and stated that necessary consular and legal assistance was provided to the family.
With financial support from Uzbekistan's Migration Agency, the body was repatriated and handed over to relatives. The consulate also coordinated organizational matters with Turkish authorities.
According to Turkish media, on the night of August 3, Niyozov, who worked as an orderly in the palliative care unit of Inegol State Hospital, suddenly collapsed while performing his duties. Nurses provided first aid, and he was rushed to the emergency department, but he could not be revived.
The body was sent to the Forensic Medicine Institute to determine the cause of death. Police have launched an investigation into the suspicious death. Turkish authorities are continuing their inquiry into the circumstances of the incident.
