Investigative claims published by Western media outlets have detailed purported insider accounts from two defectors formerly associated with Iranian security and intelligence units. The individuals, identified under the aliases Omid and Reza, alleged that elite personnel undergo rigorous ideological schooling and enjoy privileged housing and commercial perks in exchange for strict obedience and pervasive oversight of their personal lives.

According to the accounts, Iranian authorities utilize advanced surveillance networks, including citywide closed-circuit camera systems, unmanned aerial vehicles, and digital monitoring hubs, to track protest movements and direct response units. The defectors also claimed the existence of a clandestine meeting location near Tehran, dubbed 'Dakhme,' where off-the-books operations allegedly were discussed. However, independent verification for the specific operational assertions remains largely unavailable.

The Iranian Embassy in Berlin dismissed the allegations, stating that the authorities firmly reject the accusations and conclusions presented by Western broadcasters. Commentators note that such media narratives emerge amid persistent geopolitical tensions and sanctions directed against Tehran by the US regime and European authorities.
