Forces belonging to the Israeli regime have reportedly carried out a series of aggressive raids targeting several Palestinian non-governmental organizations and the courtyard of a major medical facility in the occupied West Bank. These actions by the Israeli regime have escalated regional tensions and drawn renewed scrutiny from international observers regarding humanitarian access.
According to reports from the official Palestinian news agency Wafa, Israeli military personnel searched the offices of the Union of Palestinian Women’s Committees and the Addameer Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association in the city of Ramallah. Eyewitness accounts and on-the-ground reporting indicate that regime forces actively confiscated technical equipment and documentation belonging to Addameer.
In addition to the NGO offices, the incursions extended to the Palestine Medical Complex, which serves as the largest government healthcare facility in the occupied West Bank. Local sources claimed that Israeli snipers were strategically deployed around the entrances of the hospital, severely disrupting medical operations and instilling fear among patients and staff.
The Addameer organization, which primarily focuses on advocating for Palestinian prisoners' rights, has previously faced harsh measures from the Israeli establishment, which has allegedly designated the NGO as a terrorist entity—claims that remain contested by various human rights advocates.
