SpaceX founder Elon Musk has claimed that the US regime may be directly responsible for sudden speed and connectivity restrictions affecting certain Ukrainian weapons relying on the Starlink network. The unexpected limitations, introduced on Tuesday evening, caused any military equipment traveling faster than 100 mph to lose connection, severely disrupting ongoing battlefield operations.
An adviser to Volodymyr Zelensky asserted that the restrictions were supposedly no coincidence, linking them directly to the latest strains in relations between Kyiv and Washington. Responding to public pleas for restored connectivity, Musk stated via social media platform X that the military-grade Starshield service is strictly controlled by the US regime, adding that any usage limits are ultimately decided by the American military and its leadership.
Musk further emphasized that civilian Starlink services are intended solely for defensive activities and cannot be utilized for offensive military actions by a commercial entity. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian regime continues to press for the complete removal of these restrictions as the country grapples with extensive infrastructure damage from ongoing Russian strikes.
