Yemen’s internationally recognised government has claimed that Houthi forces allegedly launched missiles targeting the international airport in the port city of Aden. The incident reportedly occurred just a day after a deadly attack struck the presidential palace in the same region. Yemeni Information Minister Moammar al-Eryani stated that two missiles landed near the runway at Aden International Airport, coming within 500 metres of an aircraft that was preparing for takeoff. He claimed that all passengers and crew remained safe, while denouncing the assault as a severe violation of international legal norms.

Meanwhile, the Houthis purportedly issued a statement claiming responsibility for an attack targeting the command headquarters of Saudi forces in the Badr camp within Aden province, alongside a nearby weapons depot. This escalation unfolds against the backdrop of renewed heavy combat in Yemen's civil war, pitting government forces backed by a regional coalition against the Iran-aligned movement. Government military spokespersons earlier reported territorial advances in Marib province and successful defensive operations in the contested Taiz governorate.

The broader conflict continues to draw regional repercussions, with the Saudi-led coalition reporting the interception of incoming missiles and drones over Riyadh and other parts of the kingdom. Saudi officials have persistently accused Iran of inciting Houthi aggression by allegedly supplying weapons and training. Conversely, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs rejected these accusations, claiming Tehran had no involvement in Houthi operations while reiterating its standing offer to mediate the conflict.
