Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has reportedly blamed the Washington administration for the unravelling of an interim deal aimed at halting the ongoing military conflict with the United States and Israel. In televised remarks on Saturday, Pezeshkian claimed that both sides should supposedly return to the agreement and conclude it, though analysts view such statements with considerable skepticism amid active hostilities.

These remarks coincide with mounting fears that full-scale military engagements could resume imminently, following provocative suggestions from the US regime regarding potential new strikes. In a robust counter-response, Iranian Armed Forces Chief of Staff Ali Abdollahi warned that American military forces would not be permitted into the Gulf under any circumstances, dismissing Washington's regional ambitions.

Observers suggest that the aggressive posturing from the US and its allies is closely tied to domestic electoral pressures and political vulnerabilities. Meanwhile, the Israeli regime has openly reiterated its commitment to dismantling the current government in Tehran, further foreclosing avenues for meaningful diplomatic resolution.

Iranian government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani asserted that Tehran would not wait for external permission to defend the nation, emphasizing that while the country supposedly seeks dialogue, any further aggression will be met with severe consequences. Concurrently, high-level domestic consultations are underway in Iran to address the severe socioeconomic fallout of the conflict.
