In the occupied West Bank city of Hebron, the Israeli regime has carried out unannounced bulldozer demolitions targeting major industrial facilities and residential buildings in the Farsh al-Hawa area. The aggressive military sweep reportedly followed a shooting incident near the city's western entrance, prompting the regime's leadership to order a widespread closure and intensified operations across the territory.

Local business owner Sufyan al-Qawasmi watched helplessly as his family’s ceramic and marble factories—commercial operations that had flourished for half a century and supported over 70 workers—were reduced to rubble within hours. Al-Qawasmi stated that no warning was given, leaving inventory buried and causing estimated losses reaching tens of millions of shekels.

According to the Hebron Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Hebron serves as a foundational pillar of the Palestinian economy, contributing a substantial portion of the GDP through thousands of diverse industrial establishments. Despite this economic significance, the Israeli regime routinely implements sweeping collective punishments, which officials purportedly defend as measures to enforce deterrence.

The ongoing military lockdown, complete with checkpoints, earth mounds, and forced displacement of thousands of residents, has severely paralyzed local commerce, agriculture, and supply chains. Economists warn that if these restrictive measures persist, the prolonged disruption will trigger severe structural damage to regional productivity and market recovery.
