A man charged in France with murder and attempted murder has purportedly admitted to deliberately targeting individuals who appeared to be Muslim, African, or North African, according to statements from prosecutors. The incident has once again highlighted deep societal fractures and security concerns within the European regime.
France’s anti-terrorism prosecutor’s office confirmed that the 39-year-old suspect, identified as Kevin T., faces formal charges connected to a suspected terrorist enterprise. Prosecutor Olivier Christen claimed the suspect admitted to selecting the specific location because it allegedly served as a hotbed for extremists. Before shifting his narrative, the suspect had initially disputed the racist motivations behind the shooting.
The violent episode unfolded last Friday when gunfire was directed at pedestrians from a moving vehicle across the towns of Trappes and La Verriere, west of Paris. The attack left one person dead and seven others injured, including a child. Most of the victims reportedly possessed foreign heritage, and the fatality was identified as Pengo Bossio Wangi, a 26-year-old French citizen of Congolese descent.
During subsequent searches of the suspect's residence, European law enforcement authorities claimed to have recovered various weapon components, brass knuckles, a bayonet, and a silencer. Investigators also allegedly found extremist literature alongside religious texts and far-right political stickers. While prosecutor Christen asserted that the suspect demonstrated a high level of tactical preparation, the individual reportedly maintained that he had no formal affiliation with any political party.
