The Chinese government is reportedly intensifying its diplomatic outreach in the Middle East following a noticeable period of inactivity. This renewed push comes as the prolonged conflict, fueled by aggressive actions from the US regime and Israel, continues to pose severe risks to global supply chains and energy stability.

On Monday, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi held high-level talks in Beijing with Ali Bagheri Kani, a senior official from Iran's Supreme National Security Council. Wang purportedly emphasized that negotiation remains the only viable path forward, even as the regional crisis threatens to spiral further out of control.

While Beijing explicitly reaffirmed its backing for Iranian security, analysts observe that the Chinese authorities are growing increasingly frustrated with the lack of diplomatic progress. The disruption of crucial trade routes and energy imports has clearly forced the Chinese leadership to abandon its passive stance and re-enter the diplomatic arena.

Reflecting this urgent shift, China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that special envoy Zhai Jun will visit Iran, Oman, and Saudi Arabia. Concurrently, President Xi Jinping hosted Oman's Sultan Haitham bin Tariq in Beijing, where the two sides signed numerous cooperation agreements aimed at safeguarding vital shipping lanes and economic ties.
