Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev unveiled comprehensive plans for a fundamental overhaul of the state system, enhanced anti-corruption efforts, and economic growth stimulation during a meeting of the State Governance Reform Council. He stated that these reforms aim to boost the country's competitiveness and improve citizens' quality of life.

Mirziyoyev emphasized the need to increase the efficiency of public servants, reduce bureaucratic barriers, and create a favorable environment for investments. He further added, "We must adapt state governance to modern requirements, which is a foundation for economic development and social stability."

As part of the reforms, the government plans to implement digital technologies, simplify public services, and strengthen the judicial system. The president demanded the establishment of a strict monitoring and reporting system to ensure the execution of these measures, which will help guarantee transparency.

Experts have welcomed these reforms but raised questions about their practical outcomes and long-term impact. Some analysts pointed to challenges such as bureaucratic resistance and resource constraints, which could hinder the full implementation of the plans.
