The National Agency for Social Protection announced the completion of the first phase of financial aid payments for the month of Ramadan.

A total of 616,305 families received support amounting to over 422 billion soums.

225,541 families were transferred 1 million soums each. These included state-supported families, families raising orphaned or parentless children, as well as single elderly individuals and persons with disabilities requiring care. Approximately 378,000 low-income families from additional lists of mahalla committees received 500,000 soums each.

The agency stated that payments are being made on a targeted basis, and the second phase of the program is planned to be conducted before Eid al-Fitr for families and citizens whose applications are under consideration.
