In Tashkent on February 25, a BMW M4 (license plate 010210OC) struck a traffic police inspector. The driver was a 16-year-old student without a driver's license. The inspector sustained serious injuries and was hospitalized.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan, the teenager's parents had been fined twice before: on September 12, 2025, for their son skipping school, and on January 8, 2026, for illegal driving. The ministry blamed the parents for irresponsibility.

The car is owned by Atadiyanova Leyla Bekzodovna, who since 2024 has allowed unlicensed individuals to drive the vehicle 18 times and committed 37 traffic violations. Tashkent City Traffic Police press secretary Qahramon Xudoyberganov called this "the owner's negligence."

The driver Doniyor: "Last time, officers warned me. I promised not to drive again. But I violated the rules again. All my actions were wrong." His father Zafarjon Kuchkunov: "I am to blame for my son. I appeal to all parents – let them learn from my example."

The Mirabad District Prosecutor's Office initiated a criminal case under Article 266 of the Criminal Code (violation of safety rules causing serious bodily harm). The Ministry of Internal Affairs urged parents to monitor their children's activities.
