During a phone call on February 26, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan congratulated President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Turkey on his birthday.

The head of state wished the Turkish leader good health and well-being, great success in state activities, and peace and prosperity for the brotherly Turkish people.

The presidents also warmly congratulated each other on the holy month of Ramadan for the entire Muslim ummah.

Issues of further deepening Uzbek-Turkish relations of comprehensive strategic partnership were discussed, in the context of implementing high-level agreements reached in Ankara in January this year.

The current highest level of interstate interaction was noted with satisfaction. It was emphasized that the results of the recent meeting of the Strategic Cooperation Council have elevated bilateral relations to a qualitatively new stage of development.

Special attention was paid to advancing cooperation projects based on developed "roadmaps".

The leaders also exchanged views on current issues of the international and regional agenda and discussed the schedule of upcoming events.
