It is reported that Atagarayev was relieved of his duties due to a transfer to another job.

The new Minister of National Security of Turkmenistan is Major Dovletgeldi Meredov, who previously headed the presidential security service.

The Ministry of National Security of Turkmenistan is the main body responsible for security and intelligence. Its tasks include protecting state security, combating terrorism, and controlling strategic spheres. This structure plays a key role in the country's political system and security bloc.

On February 10, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov signed a decree on the early termination of the powers of the Chairman of the State Committee for National Security, Kamchybek Tashiyev.

His deputies—Daniyel Risaliyev, Kurbanbek Avazov, Elizar Smanov, as well as the Secretary of the Security Council, Rustam Mamasadykov—were also dismissed.

In addition, the Speaker of the Kyrgyz Parliament and the First Deputy Prosecutor General resigned.
