A draft of amendments and additions to the list of national and international certificates that determine proficiency levels in foreign languages and general education subjects proposes establishing monthly allowances for vocational education teachers based on language certificates.
According to the draft, teachers at vocational education institutions who teach general professional and specialized subjects in a foreign language to foreign groups (excluding Russian groups) may receive an additional allowance to their base salary.
Specifically, for a B2 level certificate, a monthly allowance of 50 percent is proposed, while for a C1 level certificate, it would be 100 percent of the base salary.
The draft also includes updates to the names of education levels and an expansion of the list of certificates.
In particular, plans involve adding national certificates that assess the knowledge level and professional skills of teachers in "Music Culture" and "Physical Culture" subjects. For these certificates, the minimum level is proposed to be set at B+.
The proposed changes aim to improve qualification and incentive mechanisms in the general secondary and vocational education system.
