President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, on the second day of his visit to Fergana region, toured the Investor Service Center in Fergana city.

The city hosts the Fergana Expo international exhibition center, aimed at promoting the region's economic potential, developing industrial cooperation, boosting exports, and creating favorable conditions for investment activities.

The center serves not only as an exhibition venue but also as a unified communication platform for entrepreneurs and investors. The five-hectare complex provides facilities for over 200 manufacturing enterprises to showcase their products.

The first two floors of the new eight-story building are allocated to organizations supporting trade, investment, and entrepreneurship. The upper floors will be offered as office spaces to investors and business representatives.

Year-round, the center hosts trade fairs across 15 industry sectors. Government agencies, manufacturers, exporters, and investors can interact and establish practical cooperation on a single platform.

Given the effectiveness of the Fergana model, plans are underway to create similar modern exhibition complexes in Tashkent, Bukhara, Jizzakh, and Samarkand regions.

The president was briefed on the digital platforms “Unified National Information System for Project Management.” The platforms invest.gov.uz and pmi.miit.uz unite local and foreign entrepreneurs in a single digital space, ensuring transparency in project formation, implementation, and monitoring.

The unified investment platform operates on a “single window” principle. Investors can explore regional investment potential, select ready projects, and track their progress via a personal account.

Major investment projects proposed for the region were presented to the president. Discussions included plans to create a “Eurasian International Trade Center” with China, produce biopellets and build a thermal power plant with South Korea, and establish a modern medical cluster with Turkey.

Special attention was given to a large infrastructure project to provide quality drinking water to the population, involving France, Spain, the UAE, and Qatar.

Other initiatives reviewed included the construction of a five-star hotel and a modern congress hall, a new-style recreation park in Quvasoy, and the production of batteries for electric vehicles.
