Following the first meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council, the Presidents of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, participated in a ceremony to launch 10 major joint projects. According to the press service of the head of state, these initiatives are aimed at strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries.

Within the framework of the projects, plans include establishing furniture and leather goods enterprises in Tajikistan, expanding household appliance production, building textile capacities, constructing a residential complex and commercial facilities in Tashkent, and launching canned food production in the Fergana region. These moves are designed to enhance cooperation in industrial and construction sectors.

Additionally, production capacities for dairy products in the Andijan region, as well as for fruit juices and metal briquettes in the Surkhandarya region, were launched. These new production facilities contribute to regional economic development and job creation.

Furthermore, a ceremonial event took place to name one of the streets in New Tashkent after the city of Dushanbe. This action was carried out to strengthen cultural and diplomatic ties between the two countries, symbolically reflecting their friendly relations.
