A delegation from Namangan Region, led by Governor Shavkat Abdurazzakov, has made a visit to Afghanistan. During this visit, meetings, conferences, and negotiations were held aimed at expanding bilateral trade-economic cooperation. The delegation includes deputy governors and over 30 domestic entrepreneurs and investors, which serves to strengthen practical aspects of the partnership.
In meetings with Afghan representatives, discussions focused on increasing trade flows between the two countries, improving transport logistics, and implementing joint projects. Additionally, the delegation is expected to visit Balkh Province, where business meetings with local authorities and private sector representatives will take place.
An exhibition of Uzbek products is planned to open in Mazar-i-Sharif, showcasing the quality and diversity of national goods. This event is intended to boost the reputation of Uzbek products in the Afghan market. Previously, in February 2026, a delegation from Syrdarya Region conducted a similar visit, highlighting Uzbekistan's ongoing policy of cooperation with Afghanistan.
In the coming days, visits by leaders of other Uzbek regions to Afghanistan are anticipated, aimed at further expanding trade-economic ties. These visits could hold significance for regional stability and economic growth, yet political and economic challenges in Afghanistan may negatively impact the effectiveness of the cooperation.
