A delegation from the Russian Federation, headed by First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Sergey Kiriyenko, commenced its working visit to Uzbekistan with a trip to the capital's 'Victory Park' memorial complex. During the visit, the guests laid flowers at the base of the 'Ode to Fortitude' monument, honoring the memory of those who perished during World War II and paying tribute to the heroism of the peoples who fought against fascism.

Following the ceremony, the delegation toured the exposition of the Museum of Glory, which showcases materials on the courage and resilience of Uzbeks during the war years, as well as the labor feats of the population on the home front. The guests were briefed on the history of the complex's creation and its spiritual-educational mission, highlighting the shared historical memory between the two nations.

Sergey Kiriyenko praised the significance of 'Victory Park', emphasizing its role not only as a historical site but also as a platform for instilling values in the younger generation. Ahead of scheduled meetings with Uzbekistan's leadership, the Russian official signed the Museum of Glory's Book of Honorary Guests, a gesture symbolizing respect for the common past.

The Russian delegation's working visit to Uzbekistan is ongoing.
