Tashkent – A delegation led by First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation Sergey Kiriyenko visited the Islamic Civilization Center in the capital of Uzbekistan. The guests toured the exhibitions and noted the center's significance for international cooperation.
During the visit, the delegation was briefed on the center's main activities, including scientific research, educational programs, and cultural projects, as well as efforts to preserve and promote the rich historical and cultural heritage of Uzbekistan and the Islamic world.
The guests were shown the architectural complex, built in a national style using modern technologies. The delegation viewed exhibitions reflecting the region's contributions to global science, culture, and spirituality.
Special attention was given to rare manuscripts and artifacts from the eras of the Samanids, Karakhanids, Khorezmshahs, and Timurids. Sergey Kiriyenko signed the guestbook, emphasizing the importance of what he saw.
Earlier, the Russian delegation visited the capital's Victory Park memorial complex and paid tribute to the heroes of World War II.
