On the morning of April 17, an explosion occurred in Vladikavkaz, Russia, during the loading of garbage containers. The blast resulted in the death of a municipal services worker – a citizen of Uzbekistan. The deceased left behind five children.

According to the head of North Ossetia, Sergey Menyaylo, law enforcement agencies and emergency services are working at the scene, conducting a comprehensive set of measures to determine the circumstances of the incident. The prosecutor's office and investigative bodies have organized inspections, with sappers examining the garbage truck and towing it to a landfill. This is necessary because unloading and inspecting the contents on-site is unsafe.

The cause of the explosion, according to preliminary data, was explosive devices that ended up in the garbage container. The tragedy has sparked widespread resonance. Authorities emphasized that they will take all measures to ascertain the exact causes of the emergency and provide assistance to the family of the deceased.

This incident echoes other tragic events, such as the recent death of a young Uzbek national in the mountains of Kazakhstan, highlighting ongoing concerns about hazardous working conditions for Uzbek labor migrants in Russia.
