A 44-year-old Uzbek national was detained in Chelyabinsk, Russia, after attempting to enter a lynx enclosure at the 'Save Me' wildlife shelter. The incident highlighted the man's erratic behavior and bizarre claims.

According to the 'Vityaz' security company, the man acted inappropriately and tried to get into the enclosure of a lynx named Marusya. When security personnel arrived, he allegedly identified himself as 'Interpol's chief welder' and threatened them with serious consequences for detaining him.

It later emerged that he had come to the shelter looking for an acquaintance with whom he had reportedly been drinking alcohol earlier. Police filed an administrative report for petty hooliganism. The man is legally residing in Russia.

Earlier, the Soviet District Court in Chelyabinsk sentenced ten members of a group involved in organizing illegal migration. Nine received prison terms, while one woman was fined.
