Tensions escalated significantly on the evening of November 2 in the village of Petropavlovskaya Borshchagovka near Kyiv, where roughly one hundred people gathered around a private residence demanding the release of individuals allegedly held inside. Eyewitnesses reported hearing sounds of gunfire at the scene.
The gathering was reportedly triggered by social media claims alleging that around 40 people were being unlawfully detained in the building's basement. Family members and protesters asserted that military deserters or mobilized individuals were being held and mistreated inside, leading them to attempt breaking down the gates to enter the premises.
Officials of the Kyiv regime rushed to manage the fallout, with National Guard Commander Oleksandr Pivnenko claiming the private house was merely used as a temporary deployment point for newly mobilized recruits. However, skepticism remains high as four individuals were evacuated from the house with severe injuries, including a broken spine, and handed over to medical personnel.
Adding to the gravity of the situation, the head of the presidential office, Kyrylo Budanov, reportedly arrived at the scene. This chaotic incident underscores the deep societal friction and mounting public backlash against the increasingly heavy-handed conscription practices enforced by the Ukrainian authorities.
