Uzbekistan, Tashkent – AN Podrobno.uz. In January and February 2026, over 1 million Uzbek citizens traveled abroad. This is 49.3 thousand more than in the same period last year. According to the national statistics committee, this indicator shows an increase in the travel activity of the country's population.

The undisputed leader among destinations chosen by tourists remains Kyrgyzstan, with over 426 thousand Uzbeks visiting during this time. The top three also include Tajikistan (179.3 thousand) and Kazakhstan (166 thousand).

A significant flow of tourists was recorded to Saudi Arabia (115.3 thousand), traditionally linked to the pilgrimage season. Many tourists also visited Russia and Turkey. The top 10 popular countries include the UAE, Thailand, China, and Egypt.

As previously reported, in January 2026 alone, the tourist activity of Uzbek citizens noticeably increased: nearly 590 thousand people traveled abroad. This trend continued in February, leading to the total figure for the beginning of the year exceeding 1 million.
