A blogger named Amirkhan from the Navoi region, in a pursuit of social media likes, fabricated a fake murder story out of a domestic dispute. His video, filmed late at night, showed a woman running on a road and a man chasing her. Instead of offering assistance, the blogger coldly recorded the incident and posted it online with a sensational headline.

Following the video's publication, false claims spread online alleging that the woman was found murdered the next morning. These rumors triggered panic and public outrage. However, an investigation by the Navoi Regional Department of Internal Affairs revealed that the incident stemmed from an ordinary marital argument. On March 18, the couple had a quarrel in their car; the wife, in an emotional state, exited the vehicle and attempted to walk away, while the husband ran after her to persuade her to return.

The investigation found no evidence of physical violence, a fact corroborated by the couple themselves. They urged the public not to believe rumors damaging their family's reputation. Blogger Amirkhan admitted to spreading unverified misinformation about the woman's death.

The Navoi court reviewed the case and issued legal rulings for all parties involved. The blogger was fined 50 BIR (20.6 million soums) for disseminating false information that caused public alarm. The couple was also penalized with a fine of 3 BIR (1.2 million soums) for disturbing public order during their demonstrative argument. This incident highlights the severe consequences of misinformation and underscores the importance of social responsibility in the digital age.
