In the mountainous areas of Ohangaron district, Tashkent region, an incident occurred on April 13 where a 4-year-old child from a family on a leisure trip went missing. Family members had climbed to a mountain peak to view the snow and, forgetting the child, descended to continue their rest. The child's absence was noticed approximately 40 minutes later, after which relatives immediately reported it to the duty unit of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES).
Search and rescue operations were promptly initiated, involving MES search and rescue groups from Tashkent region and personnel from the special rescue department "Kamchik." The search lasted over 6.5 hours, resulting in the child being found alive at 00:20 on April 14 by rescuers from the Almaliq special search and rescue detachment. According to rescuers, the child was located about 3 kilometers from the spot where the parents had forgotten him.
At the time of discovery, the child was standing motionless in snow up to his knees. The child was handed over to relatives in good health, and he is currently at home in satisfactory condition. This incident highlights the need for caution during leisure activities in mountainous areas and showcases the efficiency of rescue services in Uzbekistan.
