A high-profile scandal in Uzbekistan's Akhangaran district, where a patrol officer was accused of harassing a 14-year-old girl, has been revealed as a staged act of revenge. An investigation by the Tashkent Regional Department of Internal Affairs (GUVB) found that the viral video did not reflect the actual events.

The incident occurred on the night of April 27. The officer received a call from his 22-year-old acquaintance, who asked to meet. She and her 14-year-old friend voluntarily entered his car. Both women confirmed they were in the vehicle of their own free will, engaged in a calm conversation, and that no unlawful actions or harassment took place.

The scandal erupted when an 18-year-old man, a former acquaintance of the minor, along with his friends, blocked the car and aggressively filmed the scene, shouting accusations of pedophilia. It was later established that days earlier, the same officer had stopped this young man while he was walking with the same girl at night and issued an official warning.

According to the investigation and witness testimony, the video was an attempt to retaliate against the officer for his professional conduct. The GUVB has officially stated that there is no corpus delicti in the officer's actions. Case materials have been forwarded for legal assessment of the video's author and his accomplices. The officer remains temporarily suspended from duty pending the completion of all regulatory checks.
