English Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion has announced plans to build a separate stadium solely for its women's team, with the project costing between $75 and $80 million.

The club is investing in women's football development and aims to open Europe's first specialized arena. Every detail of the stadium, from locker rooms to lobbies, will be designed specifically to meet the needs of female athletes.

Brighton's president and owner Tony Bloom noted that interest in women's football is growing rapidly and that the new stadium will be a key step in strengthening the team's position.

"This is a serious investment in the long-term future of Brighton's women's football club. Building a new arena is very important, and we hope it will help us develop the sport among the local community and grow our fan base," Bloom said.

The stadium, with a capacity of around 10,000 spectators, is expected to be built on a plot of land acquired by the club in 2025. Construction is scheduled for completion by 2030.

The club emphasizes that this initiative is unique in European football and could set a new standard for the development of women's teams.

For context, a $100 million football stadium with a capacity of 55,000 is being built in New Tashkent for the 2027 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
