Tashkent, Uzbekistan – Podrobno.uz. Zinaida Solovey, a People's Artist of Uzbekistan, has passed away at the age of 87.
The Ministry of Culture's press service announced her death.
Solovey's creative career spanned nearly half a century. A significant part of her career was associated with the State Theater of Musical Comedy (Operetta) of Uzbekistan, where she performed over seventy roles.
Possessing a lyrical soprano, Solovey starred in classic productions such as “Die Fledermaus” (Rosalinda), “The Gypsy Baron” (Saffi), “Silva”, “Maritsa”, “The Circus Princess”, and “The Count of Luxembourg”. Her repertoire also included roles in “Krechinsky's Wedding”, “The Twelve Chairs”, and “Arshin Mal Alan”.
The Ministry of Culture of Uzbekistan expressed condolences to the actress's family and loved ones.
