Uzbekistan, Tashkent – On February 28, residents of Uzbekistan will be able to observe a unique astronomical event: a parade of six planets. The planets will align in the southwestern part of the sky, occupying a quarter of the celestial sphere. Such large parades occur approximately once every 20 years.

After sunset, Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Jupiter, Uranus, and Neptune will appear simultaneously in the sky. Four of them – Mercury, Venus, Saturn, and Jupiter – will be visible to the naked eye. Binoculars or a telescope will be required to observe Uranus and Neptune, as they are too faint.

Jupiter will be near the illuminated part of the Moon, while Uranus will be close to the Pleiades star cluster, which is easily distinguishable in the night sky. Mercury and Venus will be low on the horizon, making them potentially difficult to observe. Saturn and Neptune will be positioned close together, forming a striking pair.

Specialists from the Academy of Sciences emphasize that such phenomena are natural and predictable processes. They do not affect human destinies or societal development. Scientists urge viewing the planetary parade as a rare and beautiful spectacle.

Recall that the Uzbek Space Research and Technology Agency "Uzbekcosmos" has announced plans to conduct a nationwide selection for a candidate to fly into space. Any citizen meeting the criteria can participate in the selection.
