The Tashkent City Court overturned a lower court's fine against the owner of Uzbelas Performance auto service. The court sentenced Asadbek Jumayev to 10 days of administrative arrest.

In January, a district court had fined Jumayev 8.4 million soums for discrediting law enforcement officers. The prosecutor's office appealed, considering the penalty too lenient. The city court upheld the appeal, canceled the fine, and imposed administrative arrest.

The case stems from a widely discussed social media video showing two BMWs evading traffic police during a raid in central Tashkent. It was later revealed that one of the cars was driven by the head of Uzbelas detailing studio, who publicly boasted about receiving a "light punishment" for racing with traffic police.

It was also disclosed that the judge who allowed Jumayev to avoid arrest had previously issued a controversial verdict in a case involving a Li L9 accident, which was deemed unfounded and overturned in mid-February.
