In Angren, a court issued a ruling against a group of city animal control service employees in the Tashkent region, who were caught slaughtering a dog on the premises of the institution. The animal abusers were sentenced to 15 days of administrative arrest, and the organization's management promised to dismiss these individuals from the department's staff.

This was reported to a "Podrobno.uz" correspondent by deputy and founder of the "Hayot" shelter, Iroda Matkarimova.

The fact of the animal's killing was recorded by activists, who promptly handed over photo and video evidence to law enforcement agencies. Police officers and representatives of sanitary services arrived at the scene to conduct investigative measures.

During the proceedings, one of the participants attempted to justify his actions with personal motives, claiming that consuming dog meat was allegedly necessary for him for medicinal purposes due to his health condition. Despite these statements, law enforcement and sanitary services documented gross violations of legislation and sanitary norms at the scene.

Iroda Matkarimova commented on the results of the operational work in the case of animal cruelty. According to her, thanks to the persistence of activists, law enforcement agencies decided on actual administrative arrest for the guilty parties.

"We did it — achieved a result literally in one day. From morning until evening, we were on site, monitoring the process, and in the end, our position was heard. Of course, by human standards, such punishment may seem insufficient, but within our legislation — this is already a significant achievement. The main thing is that the violators were not just given a formal fine, but each was assigned real 15 days of arrest. Now they will have time to sit and think seriously. I hope this will be a lesson for them, and next time they will think before showing cruelty and killing a defenseless animal," she said.
