Tashkent – Podrobno.uz. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan has published an official appeal to citizens currently abroad or planning trips overseas. The ministry urges compatriots to exercise vigilance and follow a series of recommendations to ensure their own safety amid the changing international situation.

Primarily, the foreign policy department advises citizens to closely monitor messages from official bodies of their host country and information published by Uzbekistan's diplomatic missions. For prompt assistance, citizens are recommended to register with consular services and always carry up-to-date contact details of the nearest embassy or consulate.

Special attention is given to compliance with local laws and behavioral rules. Diplomats call on citizens to exercise maximum caution in crowded places and during public events. The necessity of keeping documents in order and ensuring communication devices are always functional is also emphasized.

The Foreign Ministry noted that diplomatic missions maintain constant contact with compatriots and are ready to provide necessary consular-legal assistance at any time. The ministry continues to monitor the situation in various world regions to timely inform citizens about potential risks.

Recall that earlier, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Iran issued an official statement regarding the safety of compatriots against the backdrop of recent events in the region. According to the latest data from the diplomatic mission, there are no Uzbek citizens among those affected in Iran. Currently, 81 of our compatriots are in the territory of the Islamic Republic.
