An attempt to illegally export gold bars was uncovered during an operational measure conducted by the State Security Service's Andijan regional department in cooperation with customs authorities.

A woman and her daughter from Baliqchi district were intercepted at the "Dostlik" border customs post while trying to smuggle 7 non-standard gold bars, totaling 473 grams and valued at 819 million Uzbek soums, into Kyrgyzstan by concealing them under their clothing.

A criminal case has been initiated under Article 182, Part 2 of the Criminal Code (violation of customs legislation on a particularly large scale), with investigative actions underway.
