️ The Sharaf-Rashidov District Court in Tashkent has convicted a 53-year-old director of a private preschool institution for a crime against the sexual integrity of a six-year-old pupil and sentenced him to 4 years in prison. The information about the court proceedings was confirmed by Aziz Abidov, press secretary of the Supreme Court of Uzbekistan.
️ The incident occurred in April of last year. According to case materials, the defendant, while on the premises of his family kindergarten, showed pornographic videos on a mobile phone to the minor girl. The victim's parents also stated that the man committed indecent acts in the child's presence.
️ During the investigation, it was revealed that pressure had been exerted on the child's family: the director offered the parents 2 million soums to withdraw their complaint. The family refused the money, insisting on justice.
️ The defendant himself only partially admitted guilt. He attempted to justify himself by claiming he was under the influence of alcohol and had allegedly left the phone with indecent content near the child "due to negligence." However, the court deemed these arguments unfounded.
️ The main argument of the prosecution was the conclusion of a forensic psychological examination. Specialists confirmed that, given her developmental level, the girl is capable of adequately perceiving reality and that her testimony about the events is truthful.
️ As a result of the court proceedings, the 53-year-old director of the family kindergarten was found guilty under clauses "v, j" of Part 2 of Article 129 of the Criminal Code. This legal provision establishes strict liability for lewd acts against persons under 14 years of age, committed directly by an employee of an educational or upbringing institution.
️ As punishment, the court sentenced the man to 4 years of deprivation of liberty.
